“We have no tradition of couture. We have a tradition of comfort, speed…an easy kind of sexy. That’s the American style.”
– Michael Kors on his take on American Fashion and his collaboration with Claiborne Swanson Frank
One of my favorite American Fashion Designers is Michael Kors because of his simplicity and versatility of pieces. He creates items that are truly for the woman (and man) on the go and is realistic of what everyday needs are. His Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear line was a modernized 60s’ flashback. Lots of stripes, mod bold geometric lines, and yet classic and feminine.
Below are my favorite looks of the show; however, my ultimate faves are the white trench coat, the navy sheath dress with high white collar and belt, the green and navy blue vertical stripped dress, and of course the black gown (aren’t the cutouts just placed perfectly?). Which are your favorites? Leave a comment and let me know!
Stay tuned in the next few weeks as I put some Michael Kors Spring 2013 inspired outfits so you can take it from the runway to streets!
